Summarize this
he sample consisted of 40 students doing their undergraduate degree. We used Qualitative (descriptive analysis) and qualitative (content analysis). where we had a survey asking students about the amount of time they have spent on social media and about their academic studies. Which we than analyze and use the simple random sampling technique to find the results of our research. “A simple random sample is a subset of a statistical population in which each member of the subset has an equal probability of being chosen)” because our main objective was to analyze the impact of social media on College students, we didn’t target a specific major and kept the random sample be taken from the university as our population.
A simple random sample is where every member of the population has an equal chance of getting selected. By sharing the survey online and on multiplate multi-media platform we took 40 samples out of them. By using this technique, it won’t be bias. We made sure that the samples are Randomize from all types of major by keeping it open to anyone in the university to take this survey. We made sure not to approach specific major or groups which will be considered as “Stratified Sample”. We also conclude that despite of the academic level of the student wither if they were a freshman or a graduate senior, social media participation influence on performance.
A simple random sample of 40 students doing their undergraduate degree is selected from the population of university students to study the amount of time they have spent on social media and about their academic studies. The main objective was to analyze the impact of social media on College students as a whole in their performance. In a simple random sampling, each member of the statistical population has an equal chance to be selected as a sample. Equal chance for each of the university students to become a sample is ensured by sharing the survey online and on multiplate multi-media platform. Hence it is open for any student in the university to take this survey and 40 are selected out of the respondents. It is not considered the approach “stratified sample” as our conclusion was despite of the academic level of the student whether they were a freshman or a graduate senior.
