What is the difference between a continuous random variable and a discrete random variable? In your own words, do not copy from the internet. Please also give an example.
Continuous random variable is the random variable which can take all possible values between the interval.
e.g. Height of student. It is can be 160.4 cm.
Discrete random variable is the random variable which can take only isolated as 1,10,7,... Etc.
e.g., Number of person in the family. Number person never 2.3,7.6 etc. It can be 4,6 etc. Hence it is discrete random variable.
