How do you create a Two Way ANOVA table for the following scenario?

I'm creating an apple pie and want to consider different types of apples and crusts and see if they have any sort of effects on the taste of the apple pie.

My Null Hypothesis would be that there is no significant difference between means of apples and crust

My Alternative hypothesis would be that there is a significant difference between means of apples and crust

I am kind of confused on how I would set up my table.

And with this being said, what would the main and interaction effects be? and which test of significance would I use? Would it be the F-Test?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Data would be like

Apple1 Apple2 Apple3
Crust1
Crust1
Crust2
Crust2
Crust3
Crust3

My Null Hypothesis would be that there is no significant difference between means of apples, means of  crust and no interaction effect

My Alternative hypothesis would be atleast one is there ( a significant difference between means of apples, means of  crust and interaction effect )

We have to use TWO Way ANOVA test ( F test)

Results table would be like:

ANOVA
Source of Variation SS df MS F P-value F crit
Sample
Columns
Interaction
Within
Total

Please let me know in case of any doubt.

Thanks in advance!

Because individual tax returns are different the analysis has decided to block on...
