Post hoc test:
Post hoc test is generally used to identify the difference between two or more means when the F test is significant in ANOVA.
ANOVA is used to test the equality of two or more means(ANOVA is an extension of t-test). F test for significance indicates that not all the means are equal i.e. there is a difference between the group of means but the ANOVA test does not identify which pair of the group differ significantly.
Therefore to identify which pair of group differs significantly researcher use post hoc test in ANOVA
for e.g. Tukeys test is used in one way ANOVA
