To control the nuisance factors in an experiment we introduce the blocking. Nuisance factors are those factors that do not involve in the experiment directly but this factor has an effect on response variable. To control the variability transmitted by a nuisance factor to the response variable, we use Blocking in an experiment. Blocking consists of dividing the experimental units into several homogeneous blocks.
