=> age specific death rate of people aged 55 years and older

= (Number of deaths of persons aged 55 years and older /Total deaths)

= 850/1400

= 0.6071

b. What is the prevalence of diabetes?

= Number of persons with diabetes / Total population

= 5600/200000

= 0.028

c. What is the infant mortality rate ?

= Number of infant deaths within the 1st year of life/Total deaths

= 90/1400

= 0.0643

d. What is the Proportionate mortality (PMR ) for heart disease?

=  Number of deaths from heart disease/ Total deaths

= 130/1400

= 0.0929
