In ANOVA analysis, what is the real meaning of the term treatment? What does this really mean? Provide some examples of treatments from a business or managerial perspective.

Meaning of term treatment :

In ANOVA analysis, the factor is an explanatory variable manipulated by the experimenter. Each factor has two or more levels, i.e., different values of the factor. Combinations of factor levels are called treatments.

The factor is also known as independent variable.

When treatment in an ANOVA problem, you really mean the sample (treatment 1, treatment 2 = sample 1, sample 2).

Example 1 :

Sale of furniture in year 2017.

Treatment 1 : Number of furnitures sold in January. Treatment 2 : Number of furnitures sold in March Treatment 3 : Number of furnitures sold in August
