What would my my variables be in a scatterplot for the following question. If vehicle fatalities increase, what is the probability that the increase is due to fuel efficient cars with missing safety features.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

There are two variables, i.e. vehicle fatalities and number of fuel efficient cars with missing safety features

We want to predict the probability due to the to fuel efficient cars with missing safety feature, only when the number of vehicle fatalities increases

so, independent variable is vehicle fatalities and dependent variable is number of fuel efficient cars with missing safety features.

take number of fuel efficient cars with missing safety features on the y axis in scatter plot and number of vehicle fatalities on the x axis
