explain why you need to select "General Linear Model" in SPSS when tou want to conduct an ANOVA.

Answer #1

Ans.

For one way analysis of the model, we directly use one way ANOVA test but for analyzing two way ANOVA we must be used GLM in SPSS because in two-way analysis random effects are mixed them that's why if we analyze GLM random effect also in analyze.

this in MIXED rather than GLM to allow for the nested random effect. Still use time (cut dates) as a random effect also as this is definitely important for what you want to see and is more likely to yield important information.

You think that your class might be happier than the general population. You want to conduct a hypothesis test to see if you are right. Thus, you randomly sample 9 students in your class and find that they have a mean happiness score of 3.25, with a standard deviation of 1. You know information about the population distribution. First, you know the population scores are normally distributed. You also know that the mean happiness score for the population from which...

You want to develop a model to predict stock portfolio returns based on the Gross Domestic Product, the Consumer Price Index, the Dow Jones Industrial Average, and whether or not the portfolio is predominantly focused on growth or value. The correct statistical technique/test would be: Chi-square Correlation One-tailed ttest Two-tailed ttest Simple linear regression Multiple regression Logistic regression Dummy variable regression ANOVA One-way ANOVA
