A researcher conducts two t tests. Test 1 is a one-tailed test with a smaller sample size at a .05 level of significance. Test 2 is a one-tailed test with a larger sample size at a .05 level of significance. What do you know about the critical values for each test?

In test one since the sample size is smaller so it has the smaller degree of freedom and the critical value can be find out using the t table corresponding to the significance level and degree of freedom.

Similarly in test two, since the sample size is larger in this so it is associated with large degree of freedom and critical value can be find out using t table. Also we can use the z test critical value due to high number of degree of freedom because both have approximately same values for larger sample size
