I have a question regarding which statistic test to use in order to test whether the median of two groups are equal or not.
My data is comprised of data for PE transactions in emerging Asia. I have two groups of data. Both groups are comprised of the following variables:
- Return (continuous)
- Transaction size (continuous)
- Company size (continuous)
- Holding period (continuous)
The only difference between the two groups of data is whether the investor is local or foreign to the specific country.
I thus want to know what test to use in order to test whether the median observation for each of the different variable are equal between foreign and local investors. I have considered both Mood's Median test and Wilcoxon Signed Rank, but do not know which, if any, is the best to use.
