.So in the given question  difference in the barcode scaning rates by type of hospital unit ( med-surg units, step-down units, and critical care units ) three groupe are there so one way Anova is   appropriate test

Null hypothesis ( H0 ) : there is no difference in the barcode scaning rates by type of hospital unit

i.e .,

Alternative hypothesis ( H1 ) :   there is no difference in the barcode scaning rates by type of hospital unit

i.e., Not all the means are equal
