Lets sort the data from smallest to largest value

Median can be calculated as

Median = (n+1)/2 = (6+1)/2 = 3.5th value

So median = (5+6)/2 = 5.5

Standard deviation can be calculated as

Standard deviation = sqrt((Xi-mean)^2/(n-1)) = sqrt((1-5)^2 +
(3-5)^2 + (5-5)^2 + (6-5)^2 +(7-5)^2 + (8-5)^2)/5) =
sqrt((16+4+0+1+4+9)/5) = sqrt(34/5) = 2.61

So Mean = 5

Median = 5.5

Standard deviation = 2.61
