If it is a white bead when you take one out of 100 beads, can you say that the other 99 beads are all white?

Ten of the 100 products were sampled and tested, and they met the quality control standards. In this case, are all the remaining 90 products suitable?

Answer #1

No, based on one bead we cannot conclude about the rest of the beads, we can say with some confidence that the remaining beads are white but we can't be sure and hence cannot conclude regarding the same.

No, all the products need not be suitable because there is always some uncertainity attached with the outcome and in practice it is not possible to test each and every sample hence we sample out some samples and test them and come up with certain conclusions but again those conclusions have some confidence attached to it that is no one can be certain about all the samples.

Thank you !!!
