SOLUTION A) FOLLOWING ARE THE ASSUMPTIONS MUST BE MET FOR A HYPOTHESIS TEST ABOUT MEAN

  1. The parent population from which the sample is drawn is NORMAL.
  2. The sample observations are independent.
  3. Samples must be randomly selected from the population.
  4. The population standard deviation must be unknown.

SOLUTION B: If assumptions are not met then we will do Non parametric test. In case of single sample we will do Sign test.

SOLUTION C: If the assumptions are ignored and a hypothesis test is completed then test will not be reliable. It will contain error.Test statistic value will be incorrect.
