1. Standard error of the mean is a measure of the dispersion of sample means around the population mean.

2. The standard deviation (SD) measures the amount of variability, or dispersion, for a subject set of data from the mean, while the standard error of the mean (SEM) measures how far the sample mean of the data is likely to be from the true population mean.

3. Symbols:-

Symbol for standard deviation is "σ"and symbol for standard error of mean is "σ".

4. The sampling error is the difference between a sample statistic used to estimate a population parameter and the actual but unknown value of the parameter.

5. The law of large numbers in probability and statistics, states that as a sample size grows, its mean gets closer to the average of the whole population.
