Question 1: With all the social media, TV news outlets, and information on the Internet, how do you ensure that the data from the news, social media, and Internet is accurate? For instance, just because a news outlet / spokes person / politician / CEO of a company says something is "true or accurate" how do you check for accuracy as a listener or viewer or consumer?

The answer of this may vary according the what the news is or what about the statement made is.

Generally for a accuracy purposes there is only one way which commonly used by the data scientist all over the world. That is to check the the data at the official sites.

Since we can't rely on the someone's statement or some new from the media.if you want to confirm the news you should confirm it from the government sites or official sites. Then we can get whether it is correct or not. If many of the medias are showing the same theory then we can rely.since we have then very less probability of new is fake .
