Nowadays , many companies are leaning towards integrating enviromental aspects inside of the company's strategy. The company worries about recovering their products at the end of their useful life for their reuse. We want to prove if "companies with less resources tend to establish estandarized models for their glass containers" .
METHODOLOGY : A probabilistic sample was taken between companies classified by their size as "small" or "big" assuming that the "small" companies have less human and economic resources. The number of models of glass containers used for the different product lines are known (excel file attached).

a) Prove the hyphothesis at a Significant Level of = 0.05
b) What mistake could you make? Express it in terms of the case.
Small | Big | |
Mean | 3.142857 | 5.454545 |
Variance | 2.131868 | 2.872727 |
Observations | 14 | 11 |
a) Two sample t-test for equal variances:
df= n1+n2-2= 23
T-critical: t(0.05/2,23)= 1.713872
The test statistic:
Pooled variance:
P-value: 0.000648
The test statistic is significant and rejects H0. There is sufficient evidence to support the claim that the small companies have less reosurce tha big companies.
b) Type 1 error, Less resource and human support is different from following regulaitons.
