Q2. Field experiment was applied to 4 locations in Maui, to study the growth of sugarcane along elevation gradient. Four treatments of irrigation were applied for each location. If you have the following: Total SS = 355, SST = 100, SSB = 90

(a): Construct ANOVA table (b): If tabulated F for treatments and blocks = 3.86, is there any significant differences between treatments and between blocks at α = .05?

df(blcoks) =number of blocks-1 =4-1=3

df(error) =df(treatment)*df(blcoks)=3*3=9

SS(error) =355-100-90=165

MS(error )=SS/df =165/9 =18.33

MST =SST/df =100/3=33.3333

MSB =90/3 =30

also since F (treatment) =MST/MSE =1.818

and MS(blcoks) = MSB/MSE =1.636
