1. In one-sample t test, the difference between the mean of your sample and μ increases. Will t-value and P-value will increase, decrease, get closer to zero, or farther from zero?
2. In a one sample t test, the variance of your sample increases. Will t-value and P-value will increase, decrease, get closer to zero, or farther from zero?
3. In a two sample t test, the difference between the means of your samples decreases. Will t-value and P-value will increase, decrease, get closer to zero, or farther from zero?
4. In a two sample t test, the denominator of the t value equa-tion increases. Will t-value and P-value will increase, decrease, get closer to zero, or farther from zero?
5. In a two sample t test, the pooled s2 decreases. Will t-value and P-value will increase, decrease, get closer to zero, or farther from zero?
I'm having trouble understanding these questions. I don't necessarily need the answer for all of them, but I would like a conceptual explanation of under which circumstances a t-value or P-value would increase, decrease, etc.
___________
Q2 variance is increasing so, s(x) is increasing so, t- stats will decrease when t -stats value decreases p- value increases
