= 1 - 0.9868

= 0.0132

b) P(x < 6)

= P[(x - ) / < (6 - 8) /1.8 ]

= P(z < -1.11)

Using z table,

= 0.1335

c) Using standard normal table,

P(Z < z) = 1.6%

= P(Z < z ) = 0.016

= P(Z < -2.14 ) = 0.016  

z = -2.14

Using z-score formula,

x = z * +

x = -2.14 * 1.8 + 8

x = 4.15 years
