Answer #1

Total no. of a male in a sample of 360 is 200 out of which no. of men who earn more than $50000 is 120. So, the proportion of men whose earning is more than $50000 rupees is p1=120/200 = 0.6 and n1=200

Total no. of women in a sample of 360 is 160 out of which no. of women who earn more than $50000 is 60. So, the proportion of women whose earning is more than $50000 rupees is p2=60/160 = 0.375 and n2=160

Thus, pooled proportion=
