2. You are conducting a final study using a sample of students from New Mexico State University. Since you are a student, you decide to ask all of your friends and classmates to participate in your study. What kind of sample have you collected? Why?

The above scenario would be an example of Convenience sampling.

Convenience sampling is is a type of non-probability sampling that involves the sample being drawn from that part of the population that is close to hand.  So in the above case asking and surveying a typical individual's friends and classmates to participate would be done at the convenience of ignoring a large population which could also have included students from different age groups(different grades) and regions.
