Count the number of letters in your first name. Let this be the value for n. Count the number of letters in your last name. Let this be the mean. Now, give a data set with n values that have that mean. Explain how you chose your data set. For example, My first name has 7 letters, so n = 8. My last name has 9 letters, so the mean is 9. My data set is

Answer #1

From the given information,

n=7 and mean=9

So we have to find 7 numbers such that mean=9.

Choose 3 points below 9 and 3 points above 9 such that distance between points below 9 and distance between points above 9 will be the same.

For e.g.,

Distance between each value and immediate next value is 1 with 9 as middle value. Hence,

6,7,8,9,10,11,12 has mean=9 with n=7

Or

If the distance=2

3,5,7,9,11,13,15 has mean=9 with n=7

Choose any one set from the above.

Thank you.
