I used a multivariable linear regression analysis to complete the following table relating the characteristics listed to BMI as a continuous variable. Then, describe how each characteristic is related to BMI. Can you explain how each characteristic is related to BMI? I'm having a hard time understanding the chart
Outcome Variable: BMI, kg/m2

Sure,
BMI IS YOUR dependent variable and other all independent variable. BMI is depends on all independent variable. Means if change the values of Independent then change the valurs of dependent variable.
but how many change ???
if change the independent valaue then dependent variable (BMI) change multiply by corresponding coefficient value...
like ke for example
diabetes change by one unit then dependent variable changes 2.292 kg/m3
Current smoker impact negative on BMI
MEANS current smoker change the value by one unit then BMI decreases by 1.402 kg/m2
(I thing current smoker is variable 0 or 1)
if value present1 in observation then your bmi decrease by 1.402 ..(-1.402)
