Does age has a significant effect on the following variables? Use statistical tests.
9 y/o | 21 y/o | 52 y/o | 86 y/o | |
Stiffness Index | 5.75 | 6.47 | 7.23 | 10.89 |
Reflection Index | 66.6 | 73.3 | 69.5 | 79.14 |
Blood Pressure | 75/50 | 110/74 | 117/75 | 130/95 |
Pulse Pressure | 25 | 36 | 32 | 35 |
Heart Rate | 76.43 | 74 | 66 | 65 |
For age to have significant effect it should increase / decrease continuously
{i.e. , if it is increases then it keeps increasing with age without decreasing and vice versa}
for following variables lets see if age has significant effect :
Stiffness Index : YES, as it keeps increasing continuously with age |
Reflection Index : NO, as it doesn't keep increasing/decreasing continuously with age |
Blood Pressure : YES, as it keeps increasing continuously with age |
Pulse Pressure : NO, as it doesn't keep increasing / decreasing continuously with age |
Heart Rate : YES, as it keeps decreasing continuously with age |
