Some statistics undergraduate students doing their final year projects have suggested that individuals belonging to blood group O are 40% to 55% more likely to be musically talented. Staff in the Statistics department at University are sceptical and so conduct a study to investigate this unlikely link between blood group and musical talent. Staff surveyed 300 students from University in total - 87 registered in a music degree of some kind and the rest from a range of subjects throughout the University. 39 of the music students belonged to blood group O compared to 92 of the other students. Analyse the data collected by the staff and write a few sentences explaining what you done and why and state your conclusions. Use α = 0.05 and make every step of your working clear.
