Prior to graduation high-school class 0f 2000 was surveyed about their plans. The table below displays the results for white and minority students. (The “minority” group includes African-American, Asian, Hispanic, and Native-American students).

Minority students show have less interest to further studies as almost negligible amount of studets are willing to do futher studies if compoared with whites.  Minority students are very less in number compared to whites but 2 year college plan the ratio of whites to minority studnts is 6. So 6 times more white studnts are interested in 2 year college than minority students whereas this ratio is not as high as 6 in all other future plans.
