1. A protective coating is applied to the turbine blades. Thickness measurements of a coating process are made to the nearest hundredth of a millimeter. The thickness measurements are uniformly distributed with values 0.14, 0.15, 0.16, 0.17, and 0.18. Determine the mean and variance of the coating thickness for this process.

2. The number of flaws in metal sheeting manufactured for the turbine covers is assumed to be Poisson distributed with a mean of 0.1 flaw per square meter.
   1. What is the probability that there is one flaw in 10 square meters of metal?
   2. What is the probability that there are no flaws in 20 square meters of metal?
