Question

How would you interpret the coefficients "95% lower…95% upper" in any regression output?

How would you interpret the coefficients "95% lower…95% upper" in any regression output?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Coefficient of 95% lower and 95% upper are the confidence interval lower and upper limits for the slope coefficient calculated in the regression analysis.

Suppose x and y are the 95% lower and 95% upper for the confidence interval, then we can say that if we calculate 95% confidence interval for n number of random samples, then 95% of the confidence interval will include the true slope of the line.

We can also interpret it like this

"We are 95% confident that the true slope of the regression line will be within the range (95% lower, 95% upper)"

Both interpretations are valid
