In population C a total of 4,350 people were diagnosed with influenza during flu season (roughly 6 months). Of patients with the flu, 27 of them died while they had the flu; however one of these fatalities was due to a car accident.

2d. If there were 500,000 people in population C at the start of the influenza season what is your best estimate of the risk of having a diagnosed case of influenza during that flu season? (1pt.)

2e.Why is the above number NOT a good estimate of the risk of getting the flu for individuals in Population C at that time? (1pt.) Give at least one reason (Hopefully the main one!)
