solution:-

consider a school consisting of kids from class 1 to class 12. we are instersted in finding the distribution of the height of the students. so we collect the data from each students of every class.

data: the height of every student

population: every student

sample:- we randomly take a portion of students from each class.

variable: from the samples we have drawn ,denote XI as the sample drawn from the ith class,this is a variable.

statistic:- T=X bar, X bar denote the mean of the Xi, ii=1,2,...12

parameter:- population mean , mean of all tge heights of the students, total height by total number of students.
