The steps to create a bell curve from given mean and SD
i) Enter In cell A5 enter 27. This value can be calculated using Mean – 3* Standard Deviation (30-3*6/sqrt(50)).
ii) In the cell below it enter 33 and create a series from 27 to
33
(where 33 is Mean + 3* Standard Deviation).
iii) In this cell B5, enter the formula: =NORM.DIST(A5,33,6/sqrt(50),FALSE)
iv) Drag form B5 cell to the below cells
v) Select the (A5 to B17) and go to Insert tab
vi) Insert the ‘Scatter with Smooth Lines’ chart.
