Since, the observations are classified according to the colours(names). Nominal level is categorical, only have six categories of colors.

b. The appropriate level of measurement is interval scale. Since the data does not have absolute zero.

That is 0 degree Fahreinheit also exist, and negative value of highest temperature also exist.

c. The appropriate level of measurement is ordinal:

Since the data is in order, the four teams are order from 1 to 4.

d. The appropriate level of measurement for such data is ratio scale.

Since, it contains absolute of zero, that is weight can not be zero. Here the ratio is possible.

That is if weight of one person is 50 pounds and other have 25 pounds, that means one is two times heavier than other.

e. If variance is v=9 ft^2 then standard deviation is:

s=sqrt(v)=3ft
