Which of these statements has the opposite meaning of the other three in terms of statistical significance?

Reject the null hypothesis

Computed value is within critical value

p < .05

Confidence interval does not include what null hypothesis specifies.

Answer #1

Computed value is within the critical value has opposite meaning than the other three in terms of statistical significance, as if the computed value of the test statistic is within (less than) the critical value, we do not reject the null hypothesis.

However, we reject the null hypothesis if p < 0.05 ( as usually we take level of significance as 0.05) or if the confidence interval does not include what null hypothesis specifies. So, all the other three statements have same meaning in terms of statistical significance.
