in a single sample, two tailed test about means with a sample size of 22, i found a test statistic of -.4 calculate the P-value

Homework Answers

Answer #1

you have not stated whether it is z test or t test.

i have find it for both z test and t test as follows,

1) if it is z test

P-Value = 0.6892

2) if it is t test

P-Value = 0.6932

***************************************************************************

Explanation:

test is two tailed test

sample size (n) =22

test statistics= -0.4

1)

for Z test

P-Value = 2 * P(z < -0.4)

using normal z table we get

P(z < -0.4) = 0.3446

P-Value = 2 * 0.3446

P-Value = 0.6892

2)

we are using excel command to get p-value for t-test

We get p-value as

P-Value = 0.6932
