Answer #1

Please kindly note that here we have not given the population parameter.

For testing the hypothesis we must know the population parameters( population mean/ population proportion )

From the given data we get -

Sample mean x bar = 3.5 and sample standard deviation s = 1.8708

For testing the population mean, the test statistic is -

t = ( x bar - ) / s /

For testing this we must know the values of population mean .

So please check weather the values are given and rejoin again. Thank you :)

In a recent survey, a group of teenagers was asked to indicate how many hours they spent playing video games in a typical week. After dividing the data by gender, researchers are left with the following data: BY HAND: Calculate the mean hours spent playing video games and the standard deviation for both males (n = 30) and females (n = 22) BY HAND: compare the means and see if there is a significant difference (with 95% confidence, z =...

Please answer with clear steps thanks. A video game company is studying teenagers’ time spent playing video games weekly, in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Assume that the time spent playing video games by teenagers in Hong Kong and Taiwan has a normal distribution for both populations of teenagers and that the standard deviations for the two populations are equal. A sample of 13 teenagers from Hong Kong showed that the mean time they spend playing video games is 24 hours...
