Directions: Submitted in PDF format only. Do not submit Excel spreadsheets. Please include ALL prompts in your write up with your response beneath. Respond in complete sentences. Use APA format for all charts. Please BOLD the prompts.

1) Write a few sentences describing a business related population with characteristics that you assume is near normally distributed. State a metric (height, scores, etc ...) that can be used to measure the characteristic.

2) Write a few sentences describing a business related population with characteristics that you assume follows a binomial distribution. Be sure to address all criteria for the distribution. State a metric that can be used to measure the characteristic.

3) Write a few sentences describing a business related population with characteristics that you assume follows a Poisson distribution. Be sure to address all criteria for the distribution. State a metric that can be used to measure the characteristic

4) Use Excel to generate a normally distributed dataset of 300 sample points . DO NOT submit your excel file. Submit the Excel features and arguments you used to generate the dataset. Chose your own mu and sigma.

Hint: See Spreadsheet notes

5) Use Excel to generate a binomial distribution histogram . Choose your own n <5 and choose your own p (see spreadsheet notes). DO NOT submit your excel file. Submit the Excel features and arguments you used to generate the dataset.

6) Use Excel to generate a Poisson distribution histogram . Choose your own n <5 and choose your own lamda (see spreadsheet notes) DO NOT submit your excel file. Submit the Excel features and arguments you used to generate the dataset.

7) Provide visual justification of your normally distributed data created in question #4 by generating a histogram. Discuss the shape of your histogram

8) Use the Empirical rule to determine the range of data where 68% and 95% of the data values created in question #4 are within. Report your ranges and show all calculations used to determine them

Answer #1

(as per the answering policy i am answering the first question)

1.

Business population : 500 ml soft drink bottles

We are measuring the actual amount of softdrink filled in each bottle because the filling machine cannot be completely accurate at all times

Here the population is normally distributed with mean 500ml in each bottle with a standard deviation of 1ml

Here the metric used to measure the characteristic is millilitres (ml) which messages the amount (volume) of softdrink filled in the bottle.

Please follow ALL the instructions and solve it by C++. Please and thank you! There are two ways to write loops: (1) iterative, like the for-loops we're used to using, and (2) recursive. Your prerequisite preparation for this course should have exposed you to both, although your working knowledge of recursive loops may not be as strong as that of iterative loops. Consider the following iterative function that prints an array of characters backward: #include <iostream> #include <cstring> // print...

Write a Python 3 program called “parse.py” using the template for a Python program that we covered in this module. Note: Use this mod7.txt input file. Name your output file “output.txt”. Build your program using a main function and at least one other function. Give your input and output file names as command line arguments. Your program will read the input file, and will output the following information to the output file as well as printing it to the screen:...
