Answer #1

Solution :

This is the left tailed test .

The null and alternative hypothesis is

H0 : p = 0.25

Ha : p < 0.25

= 0.16

P0 = 0.25

1 - P0 = 1 - 0.25 = 0.75

Test statistic = z

= - P0 / [P0 * (1 - P0 ) / n]

=0.16 - 0.25 / [0.25 - 0.75 / 100]

= −2.08

Test statistic z value = - 2.08

P-value = 0.0188

= 0.05

P-value <

Reject the null hypothesis .

There is sufficient evidence to suggest that
