A professor wants to determine whether her new attendance policy is effective at producing a change in final test scores in her general psychology class. She knows from past records that the population mean final test score for her general psych class is µ = 68. She finds that the mean final test score for this year's general psych class is M = 71 with a standard deviation of SD = 6.3 for the n = 100 students.

Using an alpha level of α = .05 find the t-critical values. (use the row nearest to the df value you calculate)

What decision should be made regarding the null hypothesis (Ho)?

Calculate a 95% confidence interval for the true population mean of final test scores for general psych students with this new attendance policy.

Calculate the Cohen's d measure of effect size and determine the strength of the effect.

What type of error may be committed based on the conclusion of the test?

(Please show a break down of work so I can try to learn how to do all this step by step My teacher does not show work and I do not get it )

The goal is to have students observe real-life examples of developmental stages and thus have higher final course percentage scores as a result. In order to see if this new element was helpful to students, I compared results from the final percentage scores of my current class to the existing pool of past final percentage scores from all my previous...
