A Washington Post/ABC News poll (reported on April 4, 2000) surveyed American adults about their opinion on campaign finance laws (how elections are paid for) and the influence of money in politics. The question posed was whether or not stricter campaign finance laws would reduce the influence of money in politics. Out of the 520 men surveyed, 307 said yes. Out of the 563 women surveyed, 372 said yes.

a. Write out Ho and Ha to test if opinions differ between men and women.

b. Using MegaStat, calculate the p-value and provide MegaStat output for documentation.

c.Can we reject Ho at the .01 significance level? Can we be confident that proportion of individuals who share this opinion differs between men and women at the .01 significance level? CAREFULLY EXPLAIN WHY OR WHY NOT.
