Answer #1

Let, Question 1 is: "Is your locality poor, middle class or rich?"

40 respondents responded rich: 80% of participants are from rich locality based on their response.

10 responded middle class: 20% of them are from middle class localities of the my district..

Question 2: Are you satisfied with your local governance?

35 responded - Yes: It shows that 70% of them are satisfied.

15 responded - No. It shows that 30% of them are satisfied.

Question 3: How do you rate district administration on a scale of 1 to 5?

Rating Frequency

1 5 persons

2 0 persons

3 10 persons

4 25 persons

5 10 persons

This is an ungrouped frequency data. The mean rating is 3.7

Question 4: How educated are you?

Did not complete high school: 2

Completed only high school: 13

Completed graduation: 20

Completed post graduation: 12

Went for research to other countries: 3

Here, if we take qualification on X-axis and frequency (No. of persons) on Y-axis, we get a normal curve as the above data is normally distributed. Here the mean, median and mode coincide (equal) or they are very close to each other if the data is approximately normal.

Question 5: What is your age?

Class Frequency

20-30: 30

30-40: 12

40-50: 8

It is a grouped frequency data. The data is not normal. Mean and median are not equal.

Question 6: How do you rate Education level in our district on a scale of 1 to 10?

Rating Frequency

1 0

2 3

3 1

4 7

5 9

6 10

7 12

8 8

9 0

10 0

Mean rating is 5.8

Question 7: What is your salary?

In thousands

10- 20: 5

20-30: 10

30-40: 20

40-50 12

50-60 3

The date is normal and so, mean and median salaries are equal.

Question 8: Is crime under uncontrolled in our district?

Very much under control: 35

Not much: 10

Not under control: 5

This response may be biased as it depends on the locality of each person and is to be understood from each person's experience on their area or where one lives. And so, the response on crime at their respective areas must be taken.

Question 9: Is crime at you area under control?

Very much: 30

Not much: 13

Not under control: 7

By comparing responses to questions 8 and 9, the responses seem to be unbiased.

Question 10: What is the probability that our district will be among top 3 districts in overall development in our state(provide nearest 10's)?

20%: 5

30%: 7

40%: 8

50%: 8

70%: 10

80%: 12

It appears that almost equal number of people are confident that the district will be among top 3 and it will be not among top 3 that makes it difficult to conclude about it.
