What are the main differences between binomial and normal distributions? Give an engineering example for both distributions. Are there any similarities between these two distributions? Explain
The main difference between normal distribution and binomial distribution is that while binomial distribution is discrete. This means that in binomial distribution there are no data points between any two data points. This is very different from a normal distribution which has continuous data points.
There are similarities when the sample size is large. We Can Always Use The Normal Distribution To Approximate The Binomial Distribution. For The Approximation To Be Accurate, Np > 5 And Nq > 5
