New Cases between jan 1st and dec 31st = 35

Number of deaths = 20

Population = 400,000

1) Incidence rate = No. of disease onsets / Sum of person-time @ risk

= 300 / 400,000 = 0.00075 per year = 7 persons per 10,000

2) Prevelence rate = Number of cases / Population size

= 335 / 100,000 = 0.003 per year = 3 cases per 1000

3) Case fatality rate = no. of deaths in that year / total number of cases of that disease

= 20 / 335 = 0.059

Case fatality rate per 100,000 = 0.059 * 100,000 = 5900 cases
