5. With cluster sampling, the researcher divides the population into separate groups, called clusters. Then, a simple random sample of clusters is selected from the population.

Now here towns are clusters, and further three towns are selected and every girl in these towns are been considered.

Hence it is cluster sampling used for this case.

Systematic sampling is a type of probability sampling method in which sample members from a larger population are selected according to a random starting point and a fixed, periodic interval.

Here 4 miles is the fixed periodic interval, hence here we have used systematic sampling.
