How do you know if a design is balanced vertically?

Ans - If the same number of groups are occuring at vertical level then it can be conclude that design is balanced vertically. And the same is applicable for observations is they are arranged vertically, then if the number of observations are same then we say that the design is balanced.

State the main purpose of an ANOVA

Ans - When we have to compare more than 2 means using t-test then it is not feasible to do pairwise testing between the means.

Hence in such cases we used ANOVA that is combining all the variables together testing their effects using variance.

What is the primary advantage of an orthogonal design?

Ans - Important advantage of the orthogonal design over other designs is GREATER EFFICIENCY AND INTERPRETABILITY.
