Question

P(X≥3) n=6 p=0.1

P(X≥3) n=6 p=0.1

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Solution :

Given that ,

p = 0.1

1 - p = 1 -0.1 = 0.9

n = 6

p (  x 3 )  =p (x = 3 )+ p (x = 4) + p (x = 5) +  p (x = 6 )

  = (6 !/ (3 - 4)!) * 0.13 * 0.9)4 +

  = (6 ! / (4 - 3)!) * 0.14 * 0.9)3 +

  = (6 ! / (5 - 2)!) * 0.155* 0.85)2 +

  = (6! / ( 6 - 1)!) * 0.156* 0.85)1 +

= 0.01585

p (  x 3 )  = 0.01585

Probability = 0.0159
