Antibiotics deteriorate over time. Three capsules were taken from a new batch and tested for the amount of active ingredient. A different three capsules from the same batch were stored for a year and then tested. The data in mg are given below:

1. Test whether loss of active ingredient is statistically significant.

2. Find a 95% confidence interval of the difference

Repeat Problem #5 with the assumption that the variances are the same for the new capsules and for the capsules after 1 year.

Question 7: (by hand) Repeat Problem #5 with the assumption that the same three capsules were tested when new and again at the end of a year. That is, either some sort of nondestructive testing was used.
