Homework Answers

Answer #1

Solution :

This is the two tailed test .

The null and alternative hypothesis is

H0 : p = 0.23

Ha : p 0.23

If

= x / n = 54 / 200 = 0.27

P0 = 0.23

1 - P0 = 0.23

Test statistic = z

= - P0 / [P0 * (1 - P0 ) / n]

= 0.27 - 0.23 / [(0.23 * 0.77) / 200]

= 1.34

Test statistic = 1.34
