A pollster contacts 95 people in the 18-21 age bracket and finds that 81 of them respond and 14 refuse to respond. When 283 people in the 22-29 age bracket are contacted, 262 respond and 21 refuse to respond. Assume that 1 of the 378 people is randomly selected. Find the probability of getting someone in the 18-21 age bracket or someone who refused to respond. Give your answer as a decimal (to at least 4 places).

= P(Getting someone in the 18-21 age bracket) + P(someone who refused to respond) - P(Getting someone in the 18-21 age bracket and refused to respond)

= 95/378 + 35/378 - 14/378

= 116/378

= 58/189

= 0.306878

= 0.3069 ( rounded to 4 decimal place)
